Beauty and the Beast.

You're beautiful, and I cannot trust you with hand picking beautiful things for me. The fault is not yours though, but that my view of beauty is forever skewed, and look who is responsible.

You!

And why I cannot trust you with choosing beauty? Because you see everything and find it beautiful. I don't and I am helpless when you do it, I am.

 I am ugly!

@Punam
If I told you the whole story, then it is kind of cute. But that is not what it should be about, and I am afraid, you missed it :)

@Purba
My mind is overjoyed in accepting such a thing :)

@Fatima
I never longed to look through her eyes, that is why I am helpless when she calls something beautiful, I pit it against her, and it is not beautiful.

@Sneha
Indeed, I am hiding facts :)

@Saru
Is it a fix? Alas, all beautiful things are confusing :)

@Tanishka
You nailed it :D

@Anonymous
That was a last minute entry, wait, thank you for correcting me, I'll do it now :D

Back here after long and what a post to stumble on!

A simple thought, expressed wonderfully. Its all in the eyes of the beholder. What is beauty to me might be ugly to you and vice versa. Very few people get that.

Its nice being here :)

Just a little change
Small, to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the Beast..

Both in the same mind.. equally intense but opposite.

Beauty and the beast are one to say the least...one eludes while the other preludes pain...but if you turn them over you see them transform to what is unseen and untouched...
Lovely post Anshul :)

Cheers!

How much longer for the next post? Suffering from a writer's block or too busy with work?

I have to agree with your post though, beautiful people should not be given the task of picking things- "Noble should keep the company of noble people". Btw I am interested in the person whom you don't trust with picking things? :P

Thank You!

@Gargi
Oh no, shallow words, meaning should have been obvious.

@Sunakshi
You're not the only one.

@Aparna
Perhaps?

@Saumya
There is no room for doubts, it should be 'should' :)

@Menachery
Us Gaalib ko kya jawaab doon jise har zarre mein mehboob ki tasveer dikhayi de? :)

@Suruchi
That is for you to know Ma'am :)

@Liju
So they say! Welcome here!

@KHOJ
Oh do I? Or it is the failing judgement that confuses?

@Ajay
I ain't any writer to suffer from such blocks in the first place. I've stopped planning posts. Some are here as drafts, some are still figments of imagination waiting to be penned down.

Someday I'd show you the people whom I cannot entrust this job, till then, it stays this way :)

I can't see the paradox. I can relate this to a person whom I used to know once :(

GoldFish said...

But wouldn't everything this person picks while putting her/his mind to it be beautiful too? Because beauty isn't skin deep, is it? I am confounded with your dilemma.
