Forever black?

My Naani's place has a dog. His name is Blacky. He's definitely not the one in the pic but bears close resemblance. His predecessor was also named Blacky. His predecessor was Jacky. And I think his predecessor was Rocky. But let the ‘key’s be in the locks and the ‘ky’s’ be in the adjectively chosen name’s suffixes because I am digressing.

So I was wondering as to why his hair doesn’t turn white even as he ages. I want that formula. He's always black. Jet black! And no one can do anything about it. That’s it.

On a different note, I am off the hook for a few days now. My Mathematics teacher used to tell us how he’d just shut out everything and would go away without phone or any intimation where he was. Let’s try that on a controlled and confined scale. Let’s be lost for a few days.
Vacations!

I guess that's a brilliant idea. You are in HP, so you don't need to go far away, go to a nearby place. BTW I am also from HP, born in Nalagarh and parental house in a village near Swarghat.
Enjoy your vacation!

I tried to disappear for long. It felt great. And irritating at the same time. And realize how much we are addicted to all this stuff, phone and internet etc.

Me too had a black dog from past 6 years but he ran away a couple of months back, named "jacky" and was a jet black lebra..i never chew over it as you did that why his hair doesn’t turn white even as he ages.. Its really thoughtful ;)

You've been deceived by Blacky. His objective to make you realize, his hairs will always be black has now been accomplished. The secret is; Blacky secretly dyes his body. Hmm.

Being lost eh!! Don't be gone for too long =)

Honestly my first thoughts were how random this post was. Talking about you know million things? Well, lucky thing. His signs of ageing aren't showing through his hair. :)

Surprisingly, the comments section does not give references to Dabur Amla Kesh Tail (no pun intended, but do take it if you want)
and Godrej hair dye (remember the infinite echoes of "Aunty" ad?)

So I did my civic duty of adding them in.

Do the 'ky' series of canines have any offspring that I can adopt? :)

Okay, so now that I am almost back, I am wondering if I would reply to all of you in one go?

Umm, I did not quite subject blacky to third degree to make him blurt out the recipe for eternally black hair, but I did try to cajole him. But all the while I was trying to do that, he was aiming to have a whiff of my face. He looked at me inquiringly for a moment and the next moment his nose and tongue were shot at my face like a dart.

So, I gave up on the plans to get the secret out of him.

And, I was wondering why no one suggested cherry blossom? It is known to give jet black, and shiny black too? And is endorsed by Charlie Chaplin too :P

Thank You all, specially the two ladies who have conferred upon me lovely awards. I am really honored and I think overwhelmed would be an appropriate word here seeing the best wishes :)

Regards,
Blasphemous Aesthete

share the formula pls :D

Shumaila said...

That's definitely something to think about and you would think with all the research someone would have got a black dog's DNA and made a tonic for us humans!
Great idea about hooking off. I am really tempted to go for the Vipasana thingy. One of my friends did it and she can't stop raving about it. Maybe you should try it too!
On a separate note, thanks for the comment on RP's blog smilethesmile. :)

Shumaila said...

Ok after I posted my previous comment, it struck me why Blacky's hair stays black. I don't know if there was a philosophical bent to the question (being a Sardarni things like that don't quite register), so I am taking it literally, and answering it as such. Aren't dogs life span just 20 years max? I am sure if they lived more, the worries of the world would make their hair turn grey. (Did I just show how dumb I am by not understanding the double meaning of the whole Blacky situation or did I just show that Sardars too can think great things?)

Noor-ul-Ain Hanif said...

cute blacky!!!

Anonymous said...

the greatest thing is that your hair are turning white...yeah i would say you are 'brilliant'...keep sharing such stuff..it makes their day(haw haw)

Blasphemous Aesthete said...

@Raam Pyari
Would I? :P

@Shumaila
Even if they were to live for twenty years, still they go through the phases of life like youth, adult and old age. So their hair should also come full circle. :)
And welcome here. You made a valid point.

@the feeling lioness
Okay.
